Wood Veneers, The Ideal Material For Domestic Products

Although much of the stock at Booker Timber is raw materials, we don’t just shape, cut, and sell the pure wood. As a timber merchant, we recognise the need to provide wood that has been treated/processed, and is ready to use.

Take a look around our website, and you’ll come across our wide range of wood veneers. Given that the process of veneering involves gluing thin slices of wood on to mdf sheets, it may not seem that striking. Choose the right veneer however, add a touch of stain or varnish, and the finished result can be striking.

Because veneers use thin layers of wood, it means that we at Booker Timber, and our woodwork customers, have access not just to the common species, but to the rarer types of wood as well. We sell double sided cut to size mdf veneers in common species, while rarer, more expensive woods are used as one-sided veneers. All the veneers are available in two different size sheets, and in a variety of thicknesses, so you can easily find a veneer to suit your door, cabinet top, or flooring project.

Here at Booker Timber, our stock includes steamed beech, pine, oak, am maple, sycamore, and chestnut. We also have birch, ash, cherry, am black walnut, and q/c sapele. Although we have a large range of wood veneers in stock, all sourced from sustainable forests, we also offer a bespoke service, and will try and source your chosen species of wood veneer.
